Compromised websites are alot like hard drives failing. It’s not really a matter of if you are going to face a hackers attempt, but when. Our websites are predominately created using the WordPress Content Management System. Content management is a techie task that’s made easy by using WordPress’ built-in tools and its extensions. It’s way easier for us to service our websites and easier for those of our clients who like to make some of their own updates with our WYSIWYG design. We partner with a company named Wordfence for our hacker defense and firewall system. In this blog post Wordfence talks about what hackers do, why they do it and what they do after they’re done.

The bottom line is that we need to do EVERYTHING we can to help protect your websites from these internet terrorists. We can’t guarantee that you’ll never get hacked, even the IRS couldn’t do that! But we’ll use every tool available to us to defend your site. Please read this article and let us know if you have any questions.
